U.Va. Pediatric ICU Reveals Family-Centric Renovation

In early January The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)  at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital unveiled it’s newly renovated facility featuring bold and bright colors, larger spaces, and many much-needed amenities. Part of a larger $20M renovation of the entire Children’s hospital, this round of improvements encompassed a 9,000 square footprint and will greatly improve the quality of care and quality of life for both young patients and their devoted families. The eight month project’s focus was not only to make the facility more family-oriented but to improve safety and reduce the spread of infection.
